Built from the community, for the community

One step at a time, you'll get there — a staircase of steps from discipline to success

Sircle of Success (SOS) was birthed from the powerful vision of Chauncy James, a justice-impacted leader who turned his own lived experience into a mission of transformation and produced by Chauncy James and Jania Beverly to serve the formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted community.

From firsthand experience, Chauncy understood the deep challenges of reentry—barriers to employment, housing, and stability—and the vital need for real support, opportunity, and faith-driven restoration.

Out of that understanding, Sircle of Success was created: a trauma-informed, purpose-driven organization built to restore lives and rebuild communities. SOS partners with professional, educational, and entrepreneurial leaders to empower individuals to rise above their circumstances, embrace their potential, and create sustainable, purpose-filled futures.

Through a unique model that combines workforce and economic development, personalized case management, and mentorship, SOS bridges the gap between survival and success. Every program is designed to help individuals and families overcome systemic barriers, strengthen resilience, and walk confidently into self-sufficiency.

At the heart of SOS is a message of redemption and renewal—that no past mistake can define a person’s future when given the tools, support, and faith to start again.

Together with our community partners, we are creating pathways where second chances become lifelong success stories, and where individuals are empowered to live out their God-given purpose.

01Pathway to Success — Career & Job ReadinessHard and soft skills for the workplace — resume building, mock interviews, professional communication, and employer partnerships.Offered at: Curtis Tucker Center (Inglewood), LA Care RC Inglewood & Lynwood, and virtually.
02Sircle of HealthCommunity Health Worker (CHW) services, healthcare navigation, and resources & referrals — connecting community members to Medi-Cal, wellness programs, and 211 services across California.Services include: Medi-Cal enrollment, health screenings, mental health referrals, substance use resources, wellness education, and 211 community navigation.
03Sircle of Wealth — Financial LiteracyFinancial literacy workshops empowering participants with budgeting, savings, banking, debt reduction, and wealth-building strategies for long-term financial independence.Topics include: Building credit, opening bank accounts, budgeting basics, debt management, savings strategies, and financial goal setting.
04BUILD Financial Literacy — IronwoodDelivered at Ironwood State Prison through the Life After Prison partnership. Equipping incarcerated individuals with financial skills before release.98% completion rate across all cohorts.
05Life Skills ProgramConflict resolution, time management, goal setting, healthy relationships, and community resources.
06Mindful Substance Abuse ProgramMindfulness-based education and prevention workshops supporting individuals and families overcoming substance use challenges and building lasting recovery and wellness.Our mindfulness-centered approach combines education, peer support, and community resources to support long-term recovery and healthy living.
07Entrepreneurial ProgramBusiness structure, branding, marketing strategies, funding preparation, and agency partnerships — empowering participants to build sustainable businesses.Topics include: Business planning, LLC formation, branding, marketing, grant funding, pitch preparation, and agency partnerships.
08Stewards of SuccessDecision-making, communication, emotional intelligence, goal setting, time management, and one-on-one mentorship — building the foundation for independent, successful living.
09Family RestorationWraparound support for families navigating separation, reunification, and the challenges of reentry — strengthening family bonds and building stable foundations.Services include family counseling referrals, co-parenting support, housing navigation, and connection to community family resources.
10Reentry SupportComprehensive reentry planning, case management, and post-release navigation for returning citizens — helping individuals rebuild their lives with confidence and community support.Services include: ID/document restoration, housing referrals, employment connections, benefit enrollment, and ongoing case management.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply for your programs?

Our programs are open to justice-impacted individuals, returning citizens, at-risk youth, adults on probation or parole, individuals in recovery, and families in need throughout California. We welcome individuals and families statewide.

Do your programs cost anything?

All programs are completely free to participants — funded by the generosity of donors, donations, and grants. We remove every financial barrier so our community can access support without cost.

Where are classes offered?

Classes are offered in-person and virtually throughout California. In-person locations include:

Curtis Tucker Center — Inglewood, CA
LA Care Resource Center Inglewood — 2864 W. Imperial Hwy, Inglewood, CA
LA Care Resource Center Lynwood — 3200 E. Imperial Hwy, Lynwood, CA

How can I volunteer?

Yes. Sircle of Success is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
